In a surprising move, the IFBB pro division has issued brand new
qualifying rules for all Olympia shows. After meetings held between
IFBB Professional League officials and Mr. Olympia organizers, beginning
2012, the following qualifying rules will apply:
1. Top 4 in each division at the Olympia
competitions.
2. Top 3 in each division at the Arnold Classic & Ms.
International.
3. Top 2 in each division at the New York Pro show, and
4. 1st place in all other competitions.
The top 4 in each division at the 2011 Olympia will qualify for
the 2012 Olympia.
The remaining 2011 competitions are not
affected.

The goal of this change according the various sources is to have 12 or
so competitors on stage for each division, making therefore the Olympia
shows more prestigious.
